We will be screening new work at The Little Theatre in downtown Rochester on Monday, June 16. Screening will begin at 6:30 pm, and admission is free. We will be premiering Used and Undisturbed, and showing preview cuts from Neal's Untitled El Salvador documentary, as well as a newly cut teaser trailer for Sleep Shift. This event is a fundraiser for Sleep Shift.

Used will receive an advance screening at the 2008 APA-HiP Film Festival, during a talk by Neal. The talk starts at 8 p.m., in the Bausch Auditorium, Rochester Museum & Science Center (first floor) Admission: $5 suggested donation per event; free for children.

Neal and DCP were featured on the 13WHAM ABC morning news program in Rochester today. Thank you to Holly, Terry, Steve, and everyone else who helped put together the remote from the car lot location for Used. You can see the footage on Channel 13's website HERE.
We would also like to thank the good people at Turner Bothers Auto Service, Reliable Import Service, and Clinton Signs on Empire Blvd in Webster - They were extremely generous with their time, facilities and schedules, and we could not have made Used without their help.

Rochester's ABC affiliate, WHAM Channel 13, will be broadcasting from the set of Used the morning of Thursday, April 10. Please tune in - they'll be featuring Neal and the teaser trailer for Sleep Shift.
City Newspaper, a Rochester-based weekly, will be featuring Neal and Discreet Charm Productions in an article on filmmaking in Rochester, scheduled to be published in April.

We screened the teaser trailer for Sleep Shift tonight at School of the Arts in Rochester. Thank you to all who joined us - we were tremendously pleased at the turnout, and your enthusiastic response to our work was wonderful to hear. Additional thanks to Mr. Dominic's at the Lake, Glaceau, the Karafin family, and the RCSD and SOTA (especially Adele, Mycah and Myra) for making this all possible.

We wrapped shooting on the promotional trailer for Sleep Shift at midnight. In the past few days we enjoyed some strange weather, interesting mechanical challenges, and discovered that we do indeed have some wonderful and patient friends. COME SEE THE TRAILER PREMIERE FEBRUARY 23!

We've begun shooting the promotional trailer for Sleep Shift. We opened our shoot at the Strong Hospital Sleep Clinic - where Margaret and John are incredibly gracious hosts and Bill (one of our 'sleep subjects') was most comfortable. Today we have some crane shots, an assault, and one of the best outdoor locations in Rochester on the schedule.

We will be premiering our new works - Communicate, The Garden, Damaged, Soft Typewriter and the new trailer for Sleep Shift in the Rochester School of the Arts Mainstage Theater. The screening will begin at 7 p.m., followed by a brief discussion, and a reception in the courtyard lobby.

UPDATE: Solstice at The Fortress of the Arts was an exciting event. We met some interesting new people, had a wonderful time, and saw some fascinating and beautiful works by Philadelphia artists. And thanks to Kat for hosting the event and treating us all to a great night.

Neal has just signed on to shoot a documentary in El Salvador, where he will be exploring the current social, political, and economic realities of this developing nation during a national election (late February thru mid-March).

Communicate was shot Monday night at The Historic Old Mill in downtown Rochester. We're thrilled with the work that was done, and the cuts so far are exciting.

Blood Lightning was screened last night to a full house and a warm reception. Thanks to all who came out to see it, and especially to the generous people at Lux Lounge for giving us the opportunity to show the film..
Communicate will be shot Monday, November 5 in downtown Rochester. We're working with an excellent crew, some of the finest actresses in Rochester - Jill Rittinger and Judy Molner, and two talented newcomers in Bridget Kupferschmid and Essam Morsi, both of whom we think are going to amaze.

Principal photography has begun on Damaged, and is scheduled to conclude late in the evening of November 1. Locations include an apartment and medical office in downtown Rochester, another medical office in Gates, and a lovely home in Hilton.

Blood Lightning will be playing at Lux Lounge, 666 South Ave in Rochester, next Wednesday, Halloween night, at 10:30. Come out to a great place and enjoy a couple horror movies under the stars.

We've just gotten more detailed information about our place on the schedule for the Hell's Half Mile Film Festival in Bay City, MI. Maze will screen this Friday, October 12, and Sunday, October 14 in the Explorers’ Hall of the Delta College Planetarium.

The event at the Mitchell Performing Arts Center in Philadelphia was a joy and a success. Neal and Discreet Charm have a host of supporters - wonderful people all. We had the good fortune of once again making new friends and sharing Neal's work with everybody who came out.

Principal photography on Soft Typewriter has wrapped. It was an intense shoot, and the early pictures are fantastic. Neal has begun editing, and the first cuts are looking good.

Soft Typewriter begins filming, in association with Original City Pictures, on the outskirts of NYC today - the atmosphere on set is exciting.

A Short History has been accepted into DigiFestival - an online film festival. Details to come.

Neal is entering an intense pre-production on Soft Typewriter, a short screenplay he has written. This project will be produced in association with Original City Pictures, and will be shot at the end of July in northern New Jersey and New York City.

A Short History has been accepted into the Festival of Shorts in Philadelphia, PA. The film will screen Saturday, July 14 at The Fortress of The Arts, 221 W. Glenwood Ave., 4th floor - screenings start at 8 p.m.

A Short History was screened at the Southside Film Festival yesterday, June 22 and Wednesday, June 20 in the Whitaker Lab Auditorium at Lehigh University. Many fine films were shown, and the event was a success all around.

A Short History will be screened at the Southside Film Festival at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2007 and again at 7 p.m. Friday, June 22. Neal will be available for a Q & A session after each screening. The screenings will take place in the Whitaker Lab Auditorium on the Lehigh University campus (directions can be found HERE).

The editing on Blood Lightning is coming along. It will screen at the Rochester Institute of Technology on the evening of May 22. More information to come soon.

A crazy weekend has come to an end. We shot all night Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Saturday night we ended up with more than 50 people on set and wrapped at 4am.
It's off to nonstop editing now so the film can be ready to show on 5/21 at RIT. Pictures and more coming soon.

Shooting begins tonight on Blood Lightning. The makeup and prosthetics team has been working overtime to prepare some great in-camera effects.

Blood Lightning has officially begun. Isaac ripped out a spine, Becky ripped out a heart and all is right with the world. Next up - three big shoot days with 40+ people on Saturday.
